Before you scroll on, I'd like to thank you for taking an interest in me, my life, and my work. I hope you accept my invitation to join me in any aspect of my work that speaks to your heart, mind, and desire to go past the plate to improve your health and quality of life.
The world says that women, in particular, should be able to do it all, take care of everyone, need nothing from anyone, and look smoking hot while doing it. Most women go through life questioning themselves, doubting their abilities to juggle the world's expectations, and viciously chasing a vain vision of wellness that robs their joy and energy to manage the things that matter. This was me; this is me, and this is what needs to be talked about more frankly! It's in my DNA to strive for a life of excellence and good health, but as you know, figuring out how to balance it all can be a challenge.
My journey, personally and professionally, has been full of peaks and valleys. At times, I have felt certain and then uncertain. Strong, then insecure. Determined and defeated. Fearless and also drowning in fear. I don't claim to have it all figured out, but I've surrendered the need to fit into anyone's box. Daily, I work to lean into the opportunities God places in my path. That is exactly how a registered dietitian became a statewide radio host.
Although terrifying at times, it is a more exciting way to work and live!
By trade, I'm a registered dietitian nutritionist!
By chance, I host state-wide radio and co-host a nationally syndicated cooking show!
By grace, I am a child of God Almighty!
My daddy always said I'd make a living running my mouth. Sometimes I talk too much. My mouth has certainly gotten me into trouble. But, I always talk about the things that fire me up, make me think, or move me to action. That includes but is certainly not limited to faith, family, food, fitness, funny memes, and trying to find joy and God's Grace in everyday mundane life.
But don't think it's all rainbows and butterflies. Life can be tricky. Kitchens and your relationship with God, food, or yourself can get messy. And, it's good to talk about that, too!
With all my heart, I want to see you enjoy good health on your terms and recognize that there is so much more to life than weight loss.
Love you, mean it.
